During the Glam Rock Era of the ‘70’s a new singer appeared for the first time on the UK TV Show 'Top Of The Pops'.
Mean and Moody and Dressed in Black he looked like a ‘50’s Rock n’ Roller with a stance never seen before.........
Who was this unique artist? Alvin Stardust was his name and a new star was born.

A disguised appearance of Alvin Stardust had made an earlier TV appearance on the
show 'Lift Off With Ayshea' (GranadaTV) the month before, but the effect wasn't as sensational as the 'Top Of The Pops' appearance.
“My Coo Ca Choo” was the debut single which stormed up the UK chart stalling at the Number 2 spot,
the follow up was “Jealous Mind” which topped the chart in 1974.
